About
Algonum is a math educational tool. Right now it contains just several numerical algorithms.
In the future it is aimed to be a real computer algebra system on the web, and with much work and help from other developers even an usefull scientific research tool.
This software aims to be:
- simple - using the user interface you can handle the input and output data for mathematical algorithms in a simple and intuitive mode; you don't have to read or remember something in order to use it;
- powerfull - you can also execute the algorithms using a scripting language; the code for the existing algorithms is designed so that it can be easily executed from the user interface, from a script running on the client machine, or in the future even in the cloud;
- open - if you are a developer (web/javascript) it's not very complicated to write a new algorithm; you don't have to mess too much with the rest of the code
User interface
Commands can be executed using the links bellow. You can also execute commands using the command line from the home page in any of the following modes:
- full command name e.g.:
fixpoint.krasnoselskii
- prefix of the command name e.g.:
fix.kras
, fi.k
, f.kr
- acronym of the command name - see the bold letters in command names e.g.:
fp.krs
At any time you can navigate back and forward using the browser's buttons and you can copy the current addres and bookmark it or send it to somebody else.
